John C. Dericks - Owner

John's love of the trades began at an early age. He grew up as one of seven children to a father who was a third generation craftsman.  He was already handling tools and equipment at the age of twelve; using chain saws, bulldozers, clearing land and finishing the family home.

After high school, John continued his training in the trades starting out with heavy construction and surveying.  John took every opportunity to work with other trades such as residential and commercial construction, electrical and carpentry.  He was tutored by craftsmen of various areas of construction.
John continued his education studying business and facilities management, as well as electrical and several trades in commercial and residential construction.

John began JCD Home Services in New Jersey in 1987. In 1996, following his wife's job, John and Sue moved with their two boys to Mandeville, Louisiana and opened JCD Construction Services, LLC, specializing in kitchens and baths. John obtained his Residential Builders, Electrical and Light Commercial Contractors Licenses with the State of Louisiana in 1997.

Sue left the corporate world in 2004 and is now a respected real estate agent with Keller Williams and their two sons are working hard pursuing their careers.  

JCD Construction Services, LLC is now in its 24th year here in Mandeville.  John strives to continue to grow and stay current with new design ideas and materials and continues building relationships with clients, vendors, sub contractors and serving the community in which he and Sue live.
